Structured Data Acquisition - the service for systematic mobile inventorization.

The challenge

For efficient facility management you need an up-to-date documentation of your technical installations. The problem is that in many cases the quality of existing data isn't up to scratch: the details regarding the number, age, location and condition of plant components may be antiquated or incomplete, or not transparently structured. Or the current inventory records may not include recent investments. The consequences: your investment and cost planning is based on assumptions that are neither appropriate nor reliable; the provision of spare parts and materials for consumption is not in line with actual needs.

Our solution

Our new service - Structured Data Acquisition - does precisely what the name suggests: it registers and inventorizes the technical installations within buildings and structures the information obtained.

  • Entering the information in a mobile data acquisition device (Mobic T8 web pad from Siemens)
  • Preparing clear and concise plant data sets
  • On the spot print-out of inventory bar code labels
  • Entering the information in the central FM system, for instance via the Internet
  • High degree of automation minimizes risk of error
  • Saves time- and cost-intensive manual recording and post-processing
  • End-to-end IT solution - from data recording and preparation of specifications lists/bills of quantities through user-specific repair management

Technical concept

  • Mobic T8 mobile data acquisition device
