Essen Philharmonic Hall
The Essen Philharmonic Hall was re-opened in June 2004 after a two-year period of extensive conversion. Elaborately restored an fitted
out with the latest technology, the Philharmonic Hall today is one of the most modern and acoustically perfect concert halls in Europe.
As well as providing a home for the classical music concerts of the Philharmonic Orchestra, it is also a venue for concerts of modern
music, shows, balls, conventions, seminars, conferences and corporate events. Headed by the Director-General, tenant Theater und Philharmonie
Essen GmbH is responsible for the cultural program, while Congress Center Essen handles marketing for the commercial utilization of the ten
individual premises within the complex.
HOCHTIEF Solutions is responsible for all commercial and infrastructural tasks in the Philharmonic Hall and for ensuring that the premises can
be used 365 days a year. From event organization, lighting and sound engineering through to looking after the artists involved, HOCHTIEF
Solutions is in charge of running all events held in the Philharmonic Hall.
